Karl Garrett is the winner of the Norman Sayle Prize for Art 2010 and is an accomplished artist and sculptor. Having successfully studied for a BTEC Foundation in Art he is currently studying for HND in Fine Art at Isle of Man College. He has increased in confidence through gaining qualifications, coveted prizes and the numerous exhibitions he has been asked to contribute to which include Mannin Art Group 60th Anniversary Exhibition, Manx Museum and Easter 2011 Lament & Hope, St German’s Cathedral, Peel.
This new found confidence has encouraged him to open his own Gallery. “Garretts Gallery” opened its doors for business on Saturday 9th April 2011. The Official Opening Ceremony was performed by Hon. David Cretney MHK – Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure. The Gallery is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays - 10am - 6pm - and other times by appointment.
